SF CalHeat Men goes East to grab a ticket for the U.S. Elite Nationals

This weekend, our first men’s team will travel to the East Coast to attend the CPT Scott L. Pace Memorial Tournament in West Point, NY.

SF CalHeat will have the privilege to play the 2016 U.S. Nationals Champion, New York Athletic Club, and the tournament organizer, West Point Black. Other strong teams like Boston, Ontario and New York City will also be part of the event.

Expected to be a good practice before the 2017 Nationals, this USATH sanctioned event will also serve as a qualifier for the Men’s Elite Division. After reaching the final at the 2017 California Cup (def. by Houston 23-18), the math is pretty easy: our team has to reach the semis to join the best U.S. teams in Myrtle Beach.

The following 16 players have been selected: Jean-Francois Remy, Omar Bentahar, Remo Riedweg (GK), Daniel Hundt, Joaquin Tintore, Chris Kraemer, Matthew Nikhad, Jean-Marc Junique, Vilmos Urban, Julien Boizot, Simon Bracklow, Slave Jovanovski, Soren Mueller, Juan Pablo Roig, Raphael Renault and Anel Balic. Coach: Danilo Rojevic.

Let’s wish our boys the best of luck and hope they bring back another medal!
