The San Francisco CalHeat Board of Directors is proud to announce the creation of the Hank Scarlett Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund, launched through a generous founding contribution from longtime supporter Patricia Scarlett.
To honor Hank Scarlett’s memory for generations to come, the fund is structured as a permanent endowment. While CalHeat plans to raise additional funds over time to increase the award sizes, the core foundation will remain preserved in perpetuity.
Supporting Our Youth Athletes
The scholarship will be awarded annually to a graduating high school boy or girl from the CalHeat Junior Program who is heading to college. To apply, eligible athletes will submit an essay to a selection committee, demonstrating how they embody the core values shared by CalHeat and Hank Scarlett: Leadership, Responsibility, Teamwork, Respect and Love of the Sport
Beyond the Court
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, SF CalHeat has a proud history of developing Olympians, National Team players, and hosting the premier California Cup tournament. This endowment allows the club to extend its impact from athletic excellence to academic support.
“We extend our deepest gratitude to Pat for this generous contribution to the young people in our youth program,” the Board stated. “This ensures Hank’s passion and values will live on through the bright futures of our players.”
If you would like to support the growth of this fund and help us expand the scholarship opportunities for our junior players, we invite you to contribute. All donations are tax-deductible under section 170 of the Tax Code (Tax ID: 45-3625235).
